Devil Sauce ( Sambal Setan In Indonesian )



'Sambal Setan In Indonesia' its name of very hot sambal with Madame Jeanette peppers (red brownish, very sharp)Madame Jeanette peppers whose color is yellow or light green. It is spicy and aromatic. The name literally means "devil's sauce". It is popular in Surabaya.


Ingredients :


  • Madame Jeanette 100gr Chili (chili yellow or light green)
  • 8 pcs shallots
  • 4siung garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 50ml of cooking oil


How to make :

  • steamed or boiled:  Madame Jeanette Chili (chili yellow or light green) , onion and garlic.
  • Put all in a mortar and add salt. Crush rough. Saute in oil until boiling. Remove from heat.
