Tongseng is goat meat or beef stew dishes in curry-like soup with vegetables and kecap manis (sweet soy sauce). Originally from Surakarta in Indonesian province of Central Java. The soup is made of ground mixture of garlic, shallot, black pepper, ginger, coriander, galangal, salam (bay leaves), and lemongrass sauteed with oil until it gets aromatic. The diced meat then poured into the sauteed mixture until cooked. Add water until it boiled and add sweet soy sauce with tamarind juice. After the boiled boiled reduces, add shredded cabbages and sliced tomato. Tongseng is usually served with hot steamed rice. The soup of tongseng is similar to gulai soup, however gulai is without sweet soy sauce while tongseng always brownish gold because the addition of sweet soy sauce. Gulai is usually using cows offals while tongseng usually only uses meat (goat, mutton or beef).

Tempeh Fried Mendoan
You know with Tempeh? Tempe is a native Indonesian food made from soybeans, which contain so many nutrients and proteins derived from soybeans. Now I will invite you to make one of the foods made from tempeh is called Tempe Mendoan. Tempe Mendoan is a kind of tempeh cooking that is made from thin tempeh, fried with flour so as to taste deliciously piquant. Traditionally in the Banyumas territory, tempe mendoan was made from thin, wide tempeh, one or two sheets cooked at a time. However, tempe mendoan also could be made from normal tempeh that was sliced very thin but wide.

Petai Bean ( Bitter Bean ) Green Chilli Sauce
In Indonesia, petai bean is very popular in the highlands of Java, Sumatra, especially among Batak, Minangkabau and many other people in different cultures of the island. Petai bean has earned its nickname 'stink bean' because its strong smell is very pervasive. It lingers in the mouth and body. Like asparagus, it contains certain amino acids that give a strong smell to one's urine, an effect that can be noticed up to two days after consumption.
