Padang Typical Fried Egg ( Telur Dadar Padang In Indonesia )



Eggs are one of the materials consumed animal foods other than meat, fish and milk. Generally the eggs are consumed comes from the kinds of birds, like chickens, ducks, and geese, but the eggs are smaller like fish eggs are also sometimes used as a mixture in dish. Our current menu associated with the eggs, this dish originated from Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Comestible is very easy and practical to be made, "Padang Typical Fried Egg". Padang Typical Fried Egg is one of the typical dishes after rendang padang. Undeniably the egg is a food with high nutrition is good for growth and energy besides that eggs are also easily available at very affordable prices. Side dishes are very famous for distinctive flavor and distinctive shape as well.

Material :
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons coconut 'serundeng' (see below how to make 'serundeng' coconut)
  • 2.5 tbsp rice flour
  • 5 grains of red onion
  • ½ - ¾ teaspoon salt (to taste)
 Material of serundeng coconut :
  • 250 grams of grated coconut and a half old coconut ½
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 3 lime leaves leaves
Seasoning mashed :
  • 1 cm galangal
  • 3 pieces of red onion
  • 3 cm turmeric
How to Make Serundeng :
  • Mix all the spices with grated coconut. Add salt, coriander, lime leaves, fry till dry (no oil cooking 'sangrai' in Indonesian language). Store in a jar.
How to Make Egg Fried Typical Padang :
  • Serundeng mixed with red onion slices, set aside.
  • Heat oil over medium heat.
  • Dissolve the rice flour, add eggs & salt, onion mixture and stir until evenly serundeng, looking shaken. When the oil is really hot, pour the beaten eggs into the skillet. Fried egg omelet over low heat until lightly browned.
  • How easy is not it ? You can also try it as your family's favorites menu.

Sorry, recipe of serundeng is hard to follow.
What is waste of bones? meat bones?
Toasted until dry? How is that done?
Instructions have to be more specific please.

Thank you for your attention and correction of my recipes,I mean bone removed from the kaffir lime leaves, not the bones of meat, and fried serundeng but do not use oil, in Indonesia known as the 'sangrai'. I apologize for my mistake, because I find words hard to use google. Thank you and I still receive comments.
